FloSuite and Web Services
FloSuite can communicate via Web Services. XML Web services allow a FloSuite process to interactively query another application on the Web that has been Web service-enabled. Similarly, because of the product’s XML foundation, FloSuite processes can be exposed as Web services, and invoked from applications or toolkits such as .NET.
FloSuite takes advantage of Web services through:
Web Services consumption
A FloSuite process can consume
Web services through configuration of the FloSuite Integrations
Wizard. Web Services are then made available to non-technical
process designers for incorporation into a process without a
requirement for, or knowledge of XML, WSDL or SOAP
Providing Web Services to other applications
A FloSuite
action can be provided as a Web Service that can then be
consumed by another application. This is accomplished through a
simple administrative application that makes selected FloSuite
actions available as Web services.
Web service orchestration
FloSuite provides an
independent process layer in enterprise application
architectures. XML Web services are the fundamental building
blocks in the move to distributed computing on the Internet.
FloSuite’s open XML-based architecture makes it the ideal tool
to orchestrate Web services within business processes.
